Hygiene And Sanitation

Sanitation is more than just toilets, it encompasses the facilities, behaviours, and services that prevent diseases caused by contact with human waste. Hygiene refers to behaviours that can improve cleanliness and lead to good health. More than 500 million in India lack a toilet, and about 300 million a source of safe drinking water. Poor hygiene practices lead to avoidable illnesses for which our organization is seeking to improve access to safe water, provide effective sanitation and hygiene education to the poorest people. As an NGO, we raise awareness about the need for l water supply and sanitation which helps to overcome health and sanitation problems in rural and urban areas.

Diseases related to inadequate water, sanitation, and hygiene for health are among the world’s most deadly public health problems. Poor hygiene practices, such as not washing hands with soap or unhygienic water storage, are a major contributor to poor health and spread of disease and illness. We are working to promote awareness and action towards Water, Sanitation and Hygiene for Health. The initiative includes workshops in schools, community groups, shops and other business establishments, women groups, households etc.
